Michigan Economic Development Corporation President/CEO Mike Finney Gives Talk in Owosso on Michigan's Economy 

Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) President/CEO Mike Finney offered his thoughts on the current status and future opportunities for Michigan's economy at a recent event hosted by State Representative Ben Glardon at the Comstock Inn & Conference Center in downtown Owosso.   
  
The MEDC serves as the state's marketing arm and lead agency for business, talent and jobs, tourism, film incentives, and overall economic growth. MEDC also manages the state's popular Pure Michigan brand.
  
"Strengthening our economy is the top priority in the Legislature, and the MEDC plays an important role in helping to create an environment where job growth can occur," said Glardon, R-Owosso. 
  
"We collaborate with the MEDC on a number of economic development initiatives, and were pleased to have Mr. Finney here to discuss the exciting new efforts they are taking to improve our state's overall business climate," said Justin Horvath, President/CEO of the Shiawassee Economic Development Partnership, which helped to promote the event.
