Owosso Graphic Arts Makes Significant Capital Investment, Garners Support from Owosso Charter Township Board
Owosso Graphic Arts, America's largest manufacturer of brass, copper and magnesium dies, is expanding operations at their facility located at 151 N Delaney Rd in Owosso Charter Township.
The company is making an approximately $500,000 investment in new machinery and equipment that will increase productivity and generate additional opportunities for customer sales. The business currently employs 33, with the potential that this project will add another employee.
"We continually strive to be innovative and ensure that our company is on the cutting edge of new technology, which is vital in today's competitive business climate, "said President Kathy Wilson. "This investment will help us to achieve that," Wilson added.
The company received a 12-year, 50% personal property tax abatement from Owosso Charter Township to support the endeavor.
"We are elated to see the energy that is being put into Owosso Graphic Arts. One can not help but be impressed when a local enterprise makes such as investment into the updating and modernization of their business. Suffice it to say that the township was more than pleased to assist Owosso Graphic Arts in obtaining a tax abatement thus assuring the continuation of solid paying jobs in our township," commented Owosso Charter Township Supervisor Danny Miller.
"Owosso Graphic Arts is very thankful for the local support we have received in making this happen," Wilson added.
"Owosso Graphic Arts has been an exemplary member of our local industrial base for a long time, continually providing quality, good-paying jobs and donating their time and money to many community causes," said Justin Horvath, President/CEO of the Shiawassee Economic Development Partnership, which provided project assistance. "We are very grateful to have their headquarters located here," Horvath added.
