4-D Trucking Expanding Business, Acquires New Facility in Durand
4-D Trucking, a family-owned transportation services provider, is expanding their business operations. They recently acquired the 24,000 sq ft, former Durand Forms building located at 9026 E Lansing Rd in Durand.
The company, which provides a wide variety of distribution solutions including long haul, dedicated, LTL, dry loads or temperature controlled loads, currently employs 20 people, with the new growth expected to add 15 people. They are making a $500,000 investment in acquiring and upgrading the facility to meet their business needs.
"We have had significant growth opportunities, which necessitated this move," said company President John Dillon. "We are excited to join the Durand community - this is a quality building, with a great location next to I-69, and we look forward to being here for a long time to come," Dillon added.
"On behalf of the City of Durand, we are excited to welcome 4-D Trucking. This company is filling a vacant facility and providing employment opportunities for local people, which is very important for our community," said City Manager Amy Roddy.
"This project demonstrates that Shiawassee County is a desirable location for business in the transportation (including warehousing, distribution and logistics) sector, and we thank 4-D Trucking for deciding to grow and add jobs here," said Justin Horvath, President/CEO of the Shiawassee Economic Development Partnership, which provided project assistance.
