SEDP Continues Active Marketing Efforts - Hosts Luncheon for Michigan Economic Development Corporation Officials, Exhibits at the UM/ULI Real Estate Forum
The SEDP recently participated in two key events that continue our mission to market Shiawassee County as a business destination.
We hosted a luncheon for top professionals from the Michigan Economic
Development Corporation (MEDC), our state's economic development organization. They provide many resources that support our efforts, including incentives, financing programs, lead referrals, and many other benefits.
"It is vital that our state economic development partners are aware of what we have to offer, so that they keep us top of mind for future business development opportunities," said SEDP President/CEO Justin Horvath.
The event, held at the Wrought Iron Grill in Owosso, included networking with local business and government leaders, a presentation on Shiawassee County's business assets, and local companies speaking about their positive experiences in either locating or expanding a business in the county.
We were also a corporate sponsor and exhibitor at the 25th Annual University of Michigan and Urban Land Institute (UM/ULI) Real Estate Forum at Cobo Hall in Detroit.
The event offered us the opportunity to network with hundreds of professionals in the commercial and industrial real estate world in Michigan, showcasing development opportunities in our county. We were also able to distribute marketing materials to all of the attendees.
